This is certainly a story of good news, bad news.
McDonalds recently announced a hiring marathon for 50,000 positions nationally. Keeping in mind that these are minimum wage jobs, that was already a good news/bad news scenario from the outset. But in any great story, there is always a punch line. This one has two punch lines.
McDonalds ended up hiring 62,000 people nationally. More good news. But here is the clincher…they turned away over 900,000 people. Welcome to Obama’s vision of a new America….Hope and Change. It seems to me that if we do not make a change in 2012 there won’t be any hope left.
As we move closer to our next Presidential election, Obama and company wants you thinking that everything is coming up roses now. What is coming up is true horse shit, not roses. The fact of the matter is that the government hasn’t given it straight to the people of this nation yet when it comes to the actual unemployment rate. Please learn and remember this….always look at the chart the government calls “U6”. You can find it online for yourself whenever you want to. It’s there. But even the U6 has to be tweaked by those who study what goes into these data bases. The U6 is one or two percentage points from “true” unemployment so I think it suitable for general purposes.
In today’s issue of World Net Daily, Jerome Corsi reports that “the real U.S. unemployment rate may be 22.1 percent for February, not the 8.9 percent reported by the government, according to economist John Williams, author of the “Shadow Government Statistics” website, who has argued for years that the federal government manipulates the reporting of economic data for political purposes”.
