It is said that the child waiting to be born will whisper the name that it wants to its mother. There must have been a time when the children around him thought his name to be presumptuous, but in time, he proved them wrong.
He was master of bass, drums, guitar,, and any and all keyboards…all of these better than the people in his band. He sang, composed music and wrote lyrics, much of it for other artists, hundreds of songs. He chose the costumes and set designs for all of his shows. He planned every move…a master of all trades.
It took the most supreme self confidence to appear onstage looking like a cross between Little Richard and Liberace. Yet he pulled it off right down to the eyeliner.
Remember his Apollonia?.., arguably one of the most beautiful women of her time.
